About NSBN

The National Small Business Network is an all volunteer network of small business people and tax practitioners that evolved from the Small Business Administration Regional Tax Policy Advisory Chairs group elected at the 1995 White House Conference on Small Business.    The Regional Tax Policy Chairs were elected by the 2000 delegates to the White House Conference to continue to provide information to the Congress on the tax and regulatory recommendations enacted by the delegates, and on other small business tax and regulatory issues as they develop.

Regional Tax Chair members continue to meet regularly with Members of Congress and  committee staffs on tax policy and other small business issues.    The Regional Tax chairs have continued to work with key Federal agencies such as IRS and the SBA Office of Advocacy to reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens on the small business economy.    Several of the Tax Chairs have also served on the IRS Advisory Council (IRSAC) and the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Council (ETAAC), and testified before Congressional committees on tax policy issues.

Through the National Small Business Network and participation in other small business groups such as NFIB, NSBA, US Chamber, and the American Sustainable Business Council, the Regional Tax Chairs have worked to promote policies to help small businesses and improve the US economy.
